Iconic Resourcing HR is delighted to partner with a leading organization in Edinburgh to recruit a Senior Talent & Development Advisor to cover a period of maternity leave. This role has the potential to become permanent, and the successful candidate will play a key part in delivering the Talent & Development strategy across the organization.
The postholder will join a small team within a large function and contribute to the team's efforts during a period of planning. The typical working arrangement will be 2 days per week on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analysis and Evaluation: Analyze talent and development data to assess attendance, course completion rates, resource utilization, and the effectiveness of development interventions. Ensure value for money and return on investment.
- Workflow Management: Manage the workflow of development requests and coordinate the delivery of day-to-day activities, projects, and cyclical activities.
- Budget Management: Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition and Development Manager to prepare and monitor the talent and development budget.
- Communication and Awareness: Increase awareness of and engagement with the talent development offering through managing online presence, internal communications, and development calendars.
- Industry Best Practices: Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in talent development to identify and propose implementing new strategies.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience within a Talent Development or L&D role.
- Leadership Development: Specific experience in leadership development and management training.
- Coaching: Coaching experience.
- Personal Qualities: Passionate, driven, and ambitious individual with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Communication Skills: Confident in handling tough conversations.
