Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of sales orders and invoices, as well as maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately and efficiently input sales orders and invoices into our finance system
  • Process sales order cancellations, write-offs, reinstatements, and refunds in a timely manner
  • Generate and analyze age debtor reports to identify and chase outstanding debts
  • Collaborate with branches to clear outstanding AR balances and resolve any discrepancies
  • Ensure the correct application of discount vouchers and maintain accurate records
  • Provide exceptional customer service via phone and email, responding to queries and resolving issues in a professional and timely manner
  • Update and maintain various reconciliation reports to ensure financial accuracy and compliance
  • Adhere to company procedures and financial regulations, maintaining and reviewing weekly and periodic branch data
  • Assist with other day-to-day and ad-hoc departmental tasks as required

Requirements

  • Professional telephone manner and excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Able to handle high volumes of work and meet deadlines
  • Intermediate skills in MS Excel and MS Word
