About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Engineer to join our team at EMCOR UK. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for managing a team of engineers and overseeing the maintenance and repair of our mobile locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of engineers to ensure the delivery of high-quality maintenance and repair services.
  • Participate in long-term preventative maintenance programs and projects to ensure the integrity of our facilities.
  • Check and confirm the accuracy of work performed and methods used by engineering staff.
  • Support the M&E Supervisor in implementing EMCOR policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records, including test sheets, routine rounds inspection sheets, and work dockets.
  • Demonstrate effective communication, training, and personal development to deliver contract requirements.
  • Provide regular updates to the M&E Supervisor on workload and job completion progress.
Requirements
  • Minimum of HNC/HND in Engineering or time served technical apprenticeship.
  • Qualified to 18th edition electrical C&G or Mechanical C&G certificate would be an advantage.
  • Experience in a building service environment.
  • Articulate, numerate, and IT literate.
  • Understanding of legislative compliance and contract law preferred.
  • Be commercially aware and have a reasonable knowledge of budget preparation, negotiation, and management.
  • Good all-round knowledge of Facility Management and Building Services Engineering.
