Product Development Strategist

Job Summary:
Hobson Prior is seeking a highly skilled Product Manager to join our dynamic commercial team. This role focuses on managing the product lifecycle, defining product improvements, and translating business strategy into product development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Lifecycle Management: Manage the product lifecycle from introduction to end-of-life, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal product performance.
- Product Improvement Identification: Identify and prioritize beneficial product improvements, leveraging market trends and customer feedback.
- Business Strategy Translation: Translate business strategy into product development roadmaps, aligning product goals with organizational objectives.
- Customer Requirements Definition: Define customer requirements and develop go-to-market strategies, including pricing and volume forecasts.
- Commercial Training and Support: Deliver talks, webinars, and provide commercial training to distributors and partners, ensuring they are equipped to effectively promote and sell our products.
- Marketing and Sales Tools Development: Create marketing and sales tools for various stakeholders, including sales enablement materials and product collateral.
- ROI Optimization: Ensure successful ROI for product development through KPI tracking and data-driven decision making.
- Competitor Analysis: Conduct competitor analysis and understand the market landscape, identifying opportunities for differentiation and growth.
- Value Proposition Definition: Define core value propositions for our technology, highlighting its unique benefits and competitive advantages.
Requirements:
- Scientific Knowledge: Possess scientific knowledge or direct PAT sensor experience, with a strong understanding of the biotechnology industry and bioprocessing solutions.
- Product-Related Experience: Have relevant product-related experience, with a proven track record of managing product lifecycles and driving product improvements.
- Communication and Presentation Skills: Demonstrate strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with various stakeholders, including distributors, partners, and internal teams.
- Scientific Writing Skills: Possess scientific writing skills, with the ability to create clear and concise product documentation and marketing materials.
- Travel Requirements: Be willing to travel nationally and internationally, as required.
