Job Opportunity: Menswear Designer - Jersey

Job Type: Permanent
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 Per Annum (depending on experience + Bonus + Bens)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Menswear Designer to join our team at Dobson Welch. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating innovative and stylish menswear designs for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop high-quality menswear products, including tops, bottoms, and outerwear.
  2. Collaborate with the design team to create cohesive and on-trend collections.
  3. Attend buyer meetings to showcase designs and trends.
  4. Develop and maintain relationships with overseas factories.
  5. Stay up-to-date with the latest fashion trends and technologies.
  6. Work closely with the design manager to ensure design quality and consistency.
  7. Provide guidance and support to junior designers.

Requirements:

  1. Recent and solid experience working within UK high street supply or a high street retailer designing jersey products.
  2. Experience working across all levels of high street retailers.
  3. Solid knowledge of fabrics and trims.
  4. Experience attending buyer meetings, trend researching, and developing ranges to sell.
  5. Experience working with overseas factories.
  6. Solid experience with Illustrator and Photoshop.
  7. London-based (or very commutable, 45 min to an hour to East London).
  8. Eligible to work in the UK.
