Product Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Engineer to join our team at Green Folk LTD. As a Product Engineer, you will be responsible for the development and optimization of high-performance alloy components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of high-performance alloy components, ensuring alignment with customer specifications and operational requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with process engineers to ensure product designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and meet quality standards.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, from initial concept through to production release, ensuring that all project milestones are achieved on time and within budget constraints.
  • Ensure that all products meet or exceed industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for product enhancements based on customer feedback, production data, and advancements in materials science and manufacturing technologies.

Candidate Profile:

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related STEM field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in product engineering, specifically in the development of technically complex alloy components.
  • Strong knowledge of materials science, metrology, and metallurgical processes.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to manage customer relationships effectively.

Desirable:

  • Experience in a forgings/castings/machined product environment with an understanding of the production and compliance manufacturing processes involved.
  • Knowledge of aerospace applications and performance requirements.
  • Experience with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and compliance (e.g., ISO 9001, AS13100, AS9100).
