Position Overview

This role presents a unique opportunity for a qualified nurse or physiotherapist with experience in critical care to engage in a significant research initiative aimed at enhancing recovery for patients post-ICU discharge. The Enhanced Recovery After Critical Care (ERACC) project is focused on formulating and evaluating an improved care pathway for individuals transitioning from ICU, with the goal of facilitating their recovery and rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities

The main responsibilities of this position include:

  • Conducting comprehensive literature reviews to inform the research.
  • Collaborating with a diverse array of stakeholders involved in the project.
  • Serving as a clinical exemplar while interacting with personnel at study sites.
  • Recruiting participants for various studies encompassed within the project.
  • Executing qualitative interviews and ethnographic observations, followed by data analysis.
  • Accurately collecting and documenting research data and related paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Preparing findings for peer review and reports for funding bodies.
  • Identifying and reporting any challenges encountered during the research studies to the appropriate parties promptly, while proposing solutions.
  • This position will necessitate travel to multiple study locations for data collection.
