This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing team that delivers a series of transport projects which aim to improve access for residents to healthcare, education, employment, and leisure activities.
This position requires flexible working arrangements, working for a service that operates 7 days a week, with office, on-site and home working involved, based on the needs of the service.
You will oversee and coordinate the daily shift operations for the HertsLynx Demand Responsive Transport (DRT) service in Dacorum, including driver management, customer service management and fleet operations.
- Oversee and coordinate driver rotas/shift patterns and ensure the service is fully staffed account for holiday and possible sick days.
- Tackle complex operational and logistical issues.
- Use digital technology software to optimize routes and bookings.
- Ensure vehicle maintenance programme is upheld and liaise with the fleet management team to report and organize any repairs that may need to be done.
- Act as main point of contact for customer services, monitoring the customer support inbox and responding to any customer queries.
The DRT Fleet Co-ordinator will be an integral part of the HertsLynx operations, contributing to creating a cleaner, greener and more sustainable Hertfordshire.
We are looking for a confident individual, capable of using their initiative to work effectively in complex and challenging situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Driver Management: Oversee and coordinate driver rotas/shift patterns to ensure the service is fully staffed.
- Operational Management: Tackle complex operational and logistical issues.
- Fleet Operations: Use digital technology software to optimize routes and bookings, and ensure vehicle maintenance programme is upheld.
- Customer Service: Act as main point of contact for customer services, monitoring the customer support inbox and responding to any customer queries.
Requirements:
- Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to deal with a wide range of customers and service users, both written and oral skills.
- Teamwork and Independence: Ability to work in a team as well as independently.
- Technical Competence: Confident and competent with technology.
- Time Management and Organization: Good time management and organizational skills.
- Licence: D1 licence.
