Proficiency in Welsh is preferred for this role; however, applications from both English and/or Welsh speakers are warmly welcomed.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide guidance on cold-chain management and compliance protocols.
- Analyze patient prescription data utilizing available audit tools and engage in discussions with prescribers regarding findings.
- Through observation and audits, ensure that robust repeat prescribing systems are established and adhered to. Assist in the training of staff according to established protocols.
- Offer support to the Locality Lead Medicines Management during practice medicines management meetings.
- Act as the primary contact for Medicines Management initiatives in the locality, addressing issues such as fridge failures.
- Gather and disseminate drug, therapeutic, and pharmaceutical information.
- Facilitate training sessions for new staff members and local acute hospital pre-registration pharmacy students, including competency assessments.
- Oversee the vaccine rooms within local vaccination centers, ensuring adherence to cold-chain governance and compliance standards.

Qualifications and Knowledge

- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
- NVQ Level 3 in pharmacy services with BTEC National Certificate in Pharmacy Services or equivalent.
Desirable
- Accredited Medicines Management.
- Pharmacy Technician Qualification or willingness to pursue this qualification.
- European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL).
