We are looking for a skilled M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) Commissioning Manager to oversee the commissioning processes for various prestigious projects. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that M&E systems are executed to the highest standards, adhering to client specifications, industry regulations, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Oversight:
  • Direct and manage commissioning efforts across multiple initiatives, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and quality assurance.
  • Formulate and execute commissioning strategies, plans, and schedules in collaboration with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Work closely with design teams, contractors, and suppliers to guarantee full integration and functional testing of all M&E systems.
  • Technical Leadership:
  • Offer technical guidance and support throughout the commissioning of M&E systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Evaluate and authorize commissioning documentation, such as method statements, testing protocols, and operation & maintenance manuals.
  • Identify and rectify any technical challenges during the commissioning phase, ensuring installations meet design specifications.
  • Quality Control:
  • Ensure compliance of all commissioning activities with relevant industry standards, regulations, and client expectations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to track progress and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
  • Oversee the handover process, ensuring all necessary documentation, certifications, and training are delivered to the client.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Communicate with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders to provide updates on commissioning status, address concerns, and manage expectations.
  • Facilitate regular commissioning meetings, ensuring clear communication and documentation of actions and decisions.
  • Risk Assessment:
  • Identify potential risks and challenges during the commissioning process, developing and implementing strategies for mitigation.
  • Ensure that any changes or variations are documented, communicated, and approved by relevant parties.
  • Team Development:
  • Lead and mentor a team of commissioning engineers, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and support to perform effectively.
  • Promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment, encouraging continuous improvement and professional growth.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Professional accreditation (e.g., CEng, MCIBSE, MIET) is preferred.
  • Experience:
  • A minimum of 3 years in M&E commissioning.
  • A proven history of delivering complex M&E commissioning projects, ideally within the construction or infrastructure sectors.
  • Experience with Tier 1 clients on large-scale projects.
  • Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong project management capabilities, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Extensive knowledge of M&E systems, commissioning methodologies, and industry standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in commissioning management software and tools.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
