About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Accrington. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for conducting regular machine inspections, performing necessary repairs and maintenance, and implementing proactive improvements to boost machinery performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular machine inspections and perform necessary repairs and maintenance.
  • Implement proactive improvements to boost machinery performance.
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations.
  • Work closely with the production team to minimise downtime.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance work.
  • Participate in cross-functional team projects.
  • Liaise with external suppliers and contractors when necessary.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the engineering department.

Requirements

  • An educational background in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience working within a similar FMCG environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and production machinery.
  • A proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement.
