About the Role

Tops Day Nurseries is seeking a skilled and dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality meals and snacks for our children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Nursery Cook in preparing and serving meals and snacks to children.
  • Work with the Nursery Cook to plan and purchase ingredients within budget.
  • Ensure a safe and clean kitchen environment at all times.
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to achieve our food budget and sustainability goals.
  • Support the Nursery Cook in leading the food hygiene team to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Contribute to the overall well-being and safety of our children.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality food and service.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (on the update service).
