Job Title: Financial Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Manager to join our team at Foodhub. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts, reconciliations, and analysis of financial data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare monthly management accounts to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Perform analysis of P&L nominals to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Enhance current reconciliations to reduce risk of human error and automate processes where possible
  • Act as a point of contact for auditors during the audit process, providing reconciliation and addressing queries
  • Deep dive into balance sheet items to ensure data quality and accuracy
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports and projects as required by management
Requirements:
  • Fully qualified accountant with ACA qualification
  • Audit experience is a plus
  • 2 years post-qualification experience in industry, with experience in closing the monthly books and management accounts
  • Experience with reconciliation is essential, with the ability to understand what constitutes a good reconciliation
  • Management experience is not essential, but experience coaching and mentoring junior staff is beneficial
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
