About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Consultant to join our team at Penguin Recruitment. As a Senior Technical Consultant, you will play a key role in leading our energy team and providing expertise to clients across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of sustainability and energy consultants on numerous projects within the construction industry.
  • Produce SAP assessments and calculations to ensure clients' projects are in compliance with Part L.
  • Undertake thermal bridging and U-value heat loss calculations.
  • Mentor and help junior staff members professionally develop.
  • Carry out energy assessments for existing dwellings and provide sustainable solutions to clients on their construction projects to minimize their environmental impact.
Requirements
  • An OCDEA qualification with demonstrable experience delivering Part L SAP assessments.
  • Strong knowledge of UK planning and building regulations in compliance with Part L.
  • Previous experience in a client-facing role and mentoring a team of consultants within the construction industry.
  • Relevant experience within a consultancy role delivering sustainability reports within the built environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
