About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechatronics Test Technician to join our UK R&D site at MIRA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing mechanical and electronics testing activities, assisting in the preparation of detailed engineering reports, and supporting the development of new technologies and techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mechanical and electronics testing activities per test order, reviewing results with Test Engineers
  • Support Engineers in preparing detailed engineering reports through compilation of test data
  • Collaborate with Test Engineers to resolve current model/production issues by conducting desired tests
  • Contribute to the construction of component/system test rigs/equipment to meet legislative/customer requirements
  • Assist in procurement of materials and components for test equipment, rigs, etc.
  • Participate in the development of new technologies, techniques, and processes, and conduct benchmark testing of products for current/future innovations
Requirements
  • HND or equivalent in an Engineering discipline
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project Software tools
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and component inspection methods
  • Experience in the use of general-purpose mechanical laboratory test equipment, preventative maintenance, and calibration methods
  • Proficiency in the use of computer-controlled data acquisition equipment (an advantage)
  • Knowledge of pneumatic systems as they apply to truck and heavy trailers (an advantage)
  • Knowledge of IATF16494/ISO 9001/ISO 4001/APQP
