Position Overview:
As a Mechanical Systems Maintenance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of machinery within a manufacturing environment. Your expertise will contribute to the efficiency and reliability of production processes.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Respond promptly to machinery breakdowns, minimizing downtime and ensuring smooth operations.
2. Conduct thorough inspections and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems to uphold production standards.
3. Implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance program to enhance equipment longevity and performance.
4. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory of spare parts.
5. Collaborate with production team leaders to address maintenance needs and improve operational workflows.
6. Organize and maintain maintenance workshops, ensuring a clean and efficient working environment.
7. Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with risk assessments and method statements.
8. Ensure that all safety systems and machine guarding are consistently in place.
9. Be adaptable to varying work hours, including potential weekend shifts.

Desirable Qualifications:
- City and Guilds certification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- City and Guilds certification in Electrical Testing.
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems is essential.
- Proficiency in Siemens PLC fault diagnosis.
- Familiarity with CNC machinery is advantageous.
- Ability to interpret various electrical wiring diagrams.
- Experience with automated production lines is a plus.
