About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled individual to fill the position of Director of Severn Pathology Services. This is a senior leadership role that requires a strong background in operational management, people management, and strategic project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage substantial service change and redesign in a complex environment.
  • Manage and deliver strategic level projects or workstreams, with a focus on achieving significant results.
  • Develop and implement effective operational strategies to drive business growth and improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders, partners, and stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff at all levels, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to drive business innovation and growth.
Requirements
  • Extensive senior leadership and operational management experience (5 years +) gained within a healthcare provider setting, or other large public sector organisation.
  • Proven people management experience in a senior role, preferably working across organisations, partnerships or with multiple stakeholders.
  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Biomedical Scientist or Clinical Scientist is desirable but not essential.
