Product Category Specialist (Bedding / Soft Furnishings) Import/Distribution


House of Fashion Associates Ltd is on the lookout for a skilled Product Category Specialist to enhance their team. This role is pivotal in managing product categories within the bedding and soft furnishings sector.

The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in a comparable position within the textiles industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting thorough analysis of market and consumer behaviors
  • Formulating long-term strategies for product categories
  • Overseeing product assortment and pricing strategies
  • Crafting exit plans for underperforming products
  • Establishing and nurturing vendor relationships
  • Anticipating product demand through forecasting
  • Developing budgets and managing revenue for the category
  • Reporting directly to the Category Director
  • Supervising category assistants
  • Fostering relationships with international suppliers
Candidate Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Product Category Specialist in the textiles or bedding sector
  • In-depth understanding of category management, marketing, and sales strategies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong analytical and strategic planning skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Background in merchandising, procurement, quality assurance, and design
