Job Title: Aesthetic Field Service Engineer

Are you a skilled engineer looking for a challenging role that combines electrical and mechanical expertise? Do you have a passion for working with highly automated machinery? We have an exciting opportunity for a Field Service Engineer to join our team at ATA Recruitment.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for travelling to customer sites across the UK to complete maintenance and repair work on our highly automated machinery. This will involve working electrically on motors, sensors, switches, relays, contactors, and invertors, as well as mechanically with bearings, belts, rollers, gearboxes, shafts, pneumatics, and chains.

You will also be required to work on project work at customer sites to improve the reliability of the machines, and to work as a technical expert liaising directly with customers to keep them informed of your progress.

You will be sent abroad within your first 6 months of employment to our headquarters for specialist training on all of our highly automated machinery.

Requirements:
  • A recognised engineering qualification
  • Experience working within maintenance/field service engineering
  • Confidence in fault finding electrically and mechanically
  • Ability to work on call one in four weeks (typically only called out once within this week)
  • UK driver's license
  • Pro-active and positive attitude to engineering – this is a customer-facing role
  • Willingness to take on extra training given by the company
