Job Description

At Great Bear, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of stock and orders within our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Picking stock and orders from designated locations within the warehouse
  • Loading customer pallets onto trailers using Material Handling Equipment (MHE)
  • Ensuring accurate quantities of product are picked and processed
  • Maintaining high standards of Health and Safety at all times
  • Ensuring high levels of housekeeping throughout the warehouse
  • Communicating effectively with Team Leaders and Managers
  • Monitoring and maintaining required housekeeping standards
  • Ensuring compliance with risk assessment guidelines and reporting any issues to the Warehouse Team Leader and Manager
  • Ensuring compliance with warehouse procedures for reporting damages
  • Ensuring compliance while operating MHE equipment

Requirements:

  • Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Expected to operate all MHE required to deliver operational requirements
  • Must possess a reasonable level of verbal and numerical reasoning
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Adaptable approach to training
  • Conscientious and reliable
  • Good working attitude
  • Previous experience in a similar environment desirable but not essential
  • FLT Licence desirable
