About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and caring individual to join our team as a Support Worker at Appley Cliff, a residential service for adults with physical disabilities. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our customers, enabling them to live the life they choose.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care and Support: Assist with daily life tasks, including personal care, medication administration, and mealtime support.
  • Escorting and Assisting: Escort and assist customers in and around the service, at external events, and appointments.
  • Person-Centred Approach: Support our Person-Centred approach, encouraging maximum independence for our customers and helping to achieve individual aspirations.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain up-to-date and accurate records.
Requirements
  • Interpersonal Skills: Have good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Flexibility and Creativity: Work flexibly and creatively with customers and their families.
  • Personal Care Experience: Ideally have personal care experience (not essential).
  • Teamwork: Be able to work under pressure and as a team.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility to work within rostered hours and prepared to participate in an on-call rota where required.
