Maintenance Engineer - Mechanical Bias

Roc Search is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer - Mechanical Bias to join our team in Gateshead. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Equipment Diagnostics and Repair: Diagnose and repair equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  2. Maintenance Tasks: Handle routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failure and extend its lifespan.
  3. Machine Assembly: Assemble machines and equipment to meet production requirements.
  4. Industrial Equipment Installation and Maintenance: Install and maintain industrial equipment to ensure it operates safely and efficiently.
  5. Safety and Risk Assessment: Conduct regular safety checks and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement mitigating measures.
  6. Call-out Rota: Participate in the call-out rota to provide emergency support and maintenance services.

Requirements:

  1. Education: Degree/HND in Mechanical Engineering.
  2. Experience: Relevant mechanical engineering experience, preferably in a similar role.
  3. IPAF License: Possession of an IPAF license is highly desirable.
  4. Teamwork and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Positive Attitude: A positive, can-do attitude to tackle challenges and achieve goals.
