Key Responsibilities- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils, as well as cleaning kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment.
- Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling, chopping, and organizing ingredients.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is clean and in good working order, reporting any maintenance issues to the Head Chef.
- Assist with the unloading and correct storage of food and stock deliveries.
- Manage the disposal of kitchen waste and recycling, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks and stand for long periods.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or similar role is preferred but not essential.
