Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Engagement Manager to join our team at Housr. As a key member of our marketing department, you will be responsible for managing our university society partnerships, supervising team leaders and brand representatives, and coordinating events and promotional activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage university society partnerships to build long-standing relationships and drive affinity with Housr.
  • Supervise team leaders and brand representatives in key cities to ensure high-quality representation of our brand around campus and student hubs.
  • Manage team lead and Housr representative timesheets and shift reporting, identifying any noteworthy performance and reporting back to the Head of Marketing.
  • Coordinate and record logistics for events and promotional activities, including managing suppliers for merchandise, print assets, free samples, and uniforms.
  • Collaborate with the Social and Content Manager to brief Housr representatives on UGC video requirements for Housr's social channels, supporting in delivering these briefs where required.
  • Develop and execute guerrilla marketing activities in student cities to create buzz and increase brand visibility.
  • Amplify partnerships through creative strategies to maximise reach and impact within targeted communities.

Requirements:

  • Resonate with our customers (students) and understand the challenges they face within this space. A degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field is advantageous.
  • Good experience in event management or community engagement, and ideally experience with brand ambassador programs.
  • Great verbal and written communication skills, to effectively collaborate with a range of external stakeholders, including university societies and brand ambassadors.
  • A creative thinker with a passion for innovative marketing tactics and strategies. Knowledge of guerrilla marketing tactics and creative promotional techniques is a nice to have.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced startup environment, always looking to use your initiative.
  • Comfortable with frequent travel, although being able to drive and having a car is ideal.
