About the Role

As a Communications Manager at MSF UK, you will play a vital role in shaping the global narrative around our humanitarian work. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive communications strategy that showcases our impact and raises awareness about the critical issues we address.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a communications strategy that highlights MSF UK's global impact and promotes our humanitarian work.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with key media contacts, influencers, and stakeholders to secure media coverage and promote our brand.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement communications campaigns that drive engagement and awareness.
  • Produce high-quality content, including press releases, media kits, and social media posts, that showcases our work and resonates with our audience.
  • Monitor and analyze media coverage, social media trends, and other key metrics to inform our communications strategy and optimize our impact.
  • Provide strategic counsel to senior leadership on communications and media relations.
  • Manage and develop a team of communications professionals to support the development and implementation of our communications strategy.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in communications, journalism, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful communications campaigns that drive engagement and awareness.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong media relations and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented approach with a focus on delivering results.
