Transport Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transport Coordinator to join our team at Workforce Staffing Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of transportation operations, coordinating with drivers, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:- Driver Briefing and Debriefing: Conduct daily driver briefings and debriefings to ensure all drivers are aware of their schedules, routes, and any important information.
- Safety and Compliance: Promote and embed a safety culture within the team, conducting regular safety sweeps and supporting accident/incident investigations.
- Run Folder Management: Maintain the site run folder, ensuring all run changes are communicated and up-to-date.
- Breakdown Management: Coordinate breakdown management and recovery procedures for all MMI vehicles.
- Asset Control: Control site assets, including GKNs, trolleys, and handheld devices.
- Operational Excellence: Identify and implement opportunities for improvement, driving operational excellence within the team.
- Standard Operating Procedures: Ensure all team members adhere to standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Service Level Reporting: Provide regular service level reporting, including customer service and shorts/late reporting.
- Resource Allocation: Ensure all resource allocation is in place, checked, and reviewed regularly, with changes communicated to the team.
- Fuel Management: Take ownership of the site fuel master key and track all fuel usage.
- Vehicle Servicing: Coordinate vehicle servicing with the garage function.
- Tacho Master Management: Ensure all drivers comply with tacho regulations and manage the daily tacho master system.
- Trailer Checks: Conduct regular trailer checks, including temperature checks, and perform audits as necessary.
- Cross Dock Management: Manage cross-dock operations, ensuring efficient and safe movement of goods.
- AS400 Housekeeping: Maintain regular AS400 housekeeping to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
- MMI Behaviors: Display and promote MMI behaviors within the team.
- 3PL Management: Manage 3PL operations, ensuring seamless coordination with external partners.
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be proficient in using various software systems and have excellent communication skills.
