Job Title: Refrigeration Maintenance Assistant

Company: Space Engineering Services

Working Hours: Sunday - Thursday Nights / 9 hour shifts

Purpose of the Role:

  • Prevent refrigeration breakdowns and ensure optimal equipment performance
  • Prevent refrigeration water leaks and maintain a safe working environment
  • Improve the efficiency of the refrigeration equipment and reduce energy consumption
  • Support clients to be compliant with cold chain processes and regulations
  • Improve and maintain hygiene standards in accordance with industry best practices
  • Support the overall refrigeration contract and contribute to the company's success

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the case maintenance engineer to ensure planned activities are carried out satisfactorily and meet quality standards
  • Perform case maintenance according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and industry guidelines
  • Assist in replacing components when necessary and maintain equipment inventory
  • Complete fabric checks on refrigeration cabinets and identify areas for improvement
  • Achieve efficient solutions to problematic issues and reduce downtime
  • Update internal systems and complete nightly reports to track progress and performance
  • Ensure work is carried out safely and in compliance with company policies and industry regulations
  • Maintain equipment and van stock levels to ensure optimal performance
  • Assist with other maintenance duties as required and contribute to the team's success

Requirements:

  • Full UK driver's license (Required)
  • Experience working with refrigeration display cabinets and a strong understanding of refrigeration principles
  • F-gas category 4 (desirable) and knowledge of basic refrigeration cycle (desirable)
  • Demonstrate competence in Electrical and Mechanical applications and a strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong work ethic and adaptability, with excellent customer care skills
