Care Assistant/Support Worker Job Description
**Job Summary**
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant/Support Worker to join our team. As a Care Assistant/Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, and Complex Needs.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Orientate new service users to the residential scheme and the local community
* Deliver individual support programs, including social and domestic guidance, personal hygiene, and community living skills
* Participate in monitoring and reviewing service users' skills and needs
* Support the physical and personal needs of service users
* Ensure medication is managed via Medication Policy
**What We Offer**
* Competitive hourly rate: £13.89-£15.85 (Enhanced rate for additional hours)
* Full-time position with rotational shifts (8am-8pm, 3 days a week) and one full weekend off in three
* 5.6 weeks of annual leave (inclusive of public and bank holidays), increasing with length of service
* Paid breaks and recognition reward scheme
* Investor in People Champion with commitment to employee development through paid training and learning opportunities
* Auto-enrolment pension scheme, 5% employee contribution, and 4% employer contribution
* Occupational Sick Pay (2 weeks full pay, 2 weeks half pay after 6 months service)
* Cycle to work scheme and Employee Assistance Programme
**Requirements**
* Working knowledge of the needs of people with learning disabilities
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
