Senior Financial Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Client Manager to join our dynamic and forward-thinking team at Clear Legal Recruitment Limited.
As a key member of our accounting team, you will play a crucial role in building relationships with our growing client portfolio and delivering high-quality work. This role will be ideal for a candidate looking to develop their career in a fast-paced and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coach, train, and develop a team of 4-5 direct reports.
- Provide leadership and role-modelled behaviour to the accountancy team, embodying our company values.
- Perform regular 1-2-1 meetings with a section of the accounting team.
- Conduct return to work interviews and support the Accountancy Manager with performance monitoring.
- Support the development of internal systems and controls to ensure high standards are met.
- Manage the preparation, submission, and communication of accounts and tax returns for a portfolio of clients.
- Communicate with clients via various channels, including phone, email, and in-person meetings.
- Ensure all internal and statutory deadlines are met, including HMRC and SLA requirements.
- Onboard new clients, integrating them into your portfolio and handing over to relevant departments.
- Assess and advise clients on their tax position and optimise their tax efficiency.
- Review and advise clients on advisory-level matters, including cashflow, budgets, and pricing.
- Prepare and execute year-end client meetings and carry out client fee reviews.
Requirements:
- Ability to prepare accounts and tax returns for clients, including Sole Traders, Partnerships, and Limited Companies.
- Membership to a professional body (does not need to be a chartered body).
- Confidence in providing direct advice to clients, with sound tax knowledge.
- Effective communication skills, able to communicate at all levels across the company and with clients directly.
- Experience working in accounting practice within the last 2 years, with at least 5 years of accounting practice experience overall.
- Good standard of verbal and written English.
- Proficient IT skills, including Excel and Word.
- Sound working knowledge of QuickBooks and Xero (desirable).
