We are a leading provider of sustainable packaging solutions, seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide a comprehensive Procurement Service to business stakeholders for assigned categories.
  • Execute strategic sourcing initiatives, using market research and cost analysis to identify and contract with the best suppliers.
  • Manage ongoing supplier relationships to ensure supply assurance, quality, and adherence to specifications.
  • Engage with internal customers to understand business needs and expected outcomes.
  • Conduct spend analysis to identify sourcing and negotiation opportunities, and perform supplier segmentation classification.
  • Develop and deliver an annual strategic sourcing plan and benefits/initiatives, managing key stakeholders.
  • Plan and execute supplier negotiations and new sourcing initiatives in line with supplier segmentation and delegated authorities.
  • Ensure documentation, including contracts, SLAs, and price agreements, is properly captured.
  • Set cost standards to support budgeting and Purchase Price Variance (PPV) analysis.
  • Represent the Procurement function at relevant meetings, focusing on achieving lowest total cost/whole life cost outcomes.
  • Undertake market research for assigned categories, demonstrating a deep understanding of cost drivers, key materials, and supplier industries.
  • Manage supplier performance, delivering scorecards and fostering continuous improvement.
  • Expedite and resolve delivery or service issues, collaborating with administration teams as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, and work instructions.
  • Lead cross-functional projects and initiatives as directed.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
  • Degree (or equivalent) qualified in suitable Business discipline
  • CIPS qualified or working towards
  • Strategic sourcing experience
  • Negotiation plan development and execution
  • Market research for supply market analysis and 'should cost'
  • RFx, e-auction experience desirable
  • Influencing, persuasion skills with internal stakeholders and supply base
  • Good Word and Powerpoint skills, and excellent Excel skills
