Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Assistant/Phlebotomist to join our team at Cromwell Hospital in London. As a Bank Healthcare Professional, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Outpatients Department.

About the Role:

  • Participate in the delivery of a consistent, safe service in all aspects of the patient journey, from greeting and orientating through to discharge, while demonstrating a culture of customer service.
  • Provide holistic nursing care interventions as directed, ensuring patients' optimum care needs are met, including hygiene, elimination, and mobility, and assisting patients with eating and drinking when required.
  • Provide high-quality physical and psychological care with compassion.
  • Assist with collection and transportation of specimens.
  • Maintain up-to-date care records and observations charts.
  • Enter requests on the computer and assist the receptionist and nursing staff with any other clerical duties when required.
  • Act as a mentor for new staff, providing guidance and support.
  • Ensure adequate stock levels to allow care to be provided.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 2 (Direct Patient Care) or equivalent.
  • Venepuncture skills/Phlebotomy skills.
  • Experience on a ward or outpatients department.
  • Good Communication skills.
