As a Senior Specialist Occupational Therapist, you will lead occupational therapy services within a multi-disciplinary team using the BIRT Neurobehavioral model.

You will manage a diverse and complex caseload of service users with neurological conditions, utilising your specialist knowledge to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate tailored treatment plans.

You will collaborate closely with service users, families, and other professionals, ensuring a holistic approach to care that covers all aspects of life, from self-maintenance to leisure activities.

You will delegate and oversee tasks to rehabilitation support workers, ensuring effective handover, monitoring, and evaluation of care plans.

You will conduct detailed risk assessments, maintain professional documentation in line with RCOT standards, and contribute to clinical governance and service improvement initiatives.

You will use your leadership skills to guide, mentor, and inspire colleagues, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

About You

You will be a qualified Occupational Therapist with a Diploma / BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy and registered with the Health & Care Professions Council.

You will have extensive experience and expertise in neurological rehabilitation, with a proven track record of managing complex cases.

You will have strong leadership skills and the ability to work autonomously while supporting and guiding a team.

You will have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to patient-centred care and professional integrity.

You will be proactive in professional development and eager to contribute to service enhancements and innovative care approaches.
