They are currently seeking a skilled Injection Mould Technician to join their team.
Position Summary:
The Injection Mould Technician will focus on establishing stable, repeatable, and optimized injection moulding processes for tooling and materials, ensuring that products meet quality standards consistently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to moulding processes, materials, or equipment.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive troubleshooting guide for moulding.
- Define optimized injection moulding processes to meet health and safety, process capability, quality, and efficiency objectives.
- Assess tooling for potential issues and areas for enhancement, recommending improvements to optimize moulding, setup, and overall manufacturing processes.
- Document and maintain detailed moulding process documentation.
- Provide training and support to team members to meet organizational goals.
- Address process-related concerns by collaborating with stakeholders to identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions.
- Analyze manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement and present recommendations to management, including performance metrics and cost-benefit analyses.
- Conduct trials for new materials to ensure compatibility with existing tooling and equipment.
- Encourage data-driven decision-making, ensuring that root causes are identified and robust solutions are applied.
- Initiate and lead process improvement teams to tackle issues using methodologies such as 5 Whys, Ishikawa, and 8D.
- Stay informed about specifications, technologies, and manufacturing processes.
- Adhere to all current work instructions within the organization.
- Comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations while performing duties.
- Undertake any reasonable tasks within your skill set.
Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in process development within the plastics sector.
- Extensive knowledge of engineering polymers across diverse industries.
- Experience with process optimization and capability studies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in injection moulding within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- NVQ Level 3 in Injection Moulding.
- Experience in commissioning and developing new tooling and processes is preferred.
Competencies:
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Effective prioritization of workload based on departmental needs.
- Clear and effective communication skills across various stakeholders.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
