About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our team at Portfolio Procurement. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for the sourcing of IT and IS services in the UK and Germany, with a focus on managed services, service integrations, testing, hardware, and platform sub-categories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Market Intelligence: Continuously maintain and update market insight regarding the IT & IS marketplace, best-practices, trends, key suppliers, and industry developments.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement documented category strategy plans in collaboration with senior stakeholders, covering a 3-year horizon.
  • Sourcing and Contract Management: Maintain a rolling sourcing plan, covering planned stakeholder initiatives, procurement initiatives, contract renewals, and supplier relationships.
  • Commercial Acumen: Maintain a broad understanding of the commercial IT environment, including market trends, supplier capabilities, and industry benchmarks.
  • Supplier Management: Determine the appropriate approach to market, develop RFI/RFP documentation, and lead regular supplier review meetings.
  • Contract Negotiation and Management: Develop and manage contracts with suppliers to meet key performance indicators and agreed targets, ensuring information security and compliance.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in IS procurement.
  • Highly credible and effective communication skills, with the ability to present to executives, senior stakeholders, and key suppliers.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with IT leadership and the wider IT team.
  • Proven track record of managing and delivering new contracts and contract renewals.
  • Experience in delivering strategic IT delivery projects and developing category strategies.
