Assistant Buyer Job Description

Pure 4 Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Assistant Buyer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Product Development team in the creation and launch of new products.

Main Responsibilities
  • Seasonal Kick-Offs
    • Assist the Product Specialist in identifying the latest trends and preparing comp shop reports.
    • Collaborate with the Product Specialist to prepare presentations using Canva.
  • Range Building
    • Conduct in-depth market research to identify market requirements, gaps, trends, and customer preferences.
    • Update range plans with relevant information and maintain accurate costing sheets.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to develop products that meet market standards.
    • Manage sample inventory and maintain a clear log of samples by vendor and stage.
  • Product Sourcing / Supplier Management
    • Establish and maintain relationships with existing and potential new suppliers.
    • Complete new factory profile forms and ensure all new factories are approved by QA.
    • Negotiate samples with factories to minimize costs and maintain supplier relationships.
    • Source new trends and hot products.
  • Critical Path Management
    • Assist in product development critical path management to ensure deadlines are met.
    • Monitor order critical path with Merch to ensure intake dates are met.
    • Flag issues and communicate to mitigate delays.
  • Showroom / PD Room Management
    • Oversee the showroom and PD room, ensuring all mock-ups and samples are presented in the best form.
    • Manage sample inventory and implement new sampling procedures.
