Job Summary

The post holder will be responsible for case managing a caseload of patients within the Birmingham & Solihull area, ensuring that patients undergoing treatment for TB complete their treatment, screen contacts, and manage any associated outbreaks.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement clinical management plans for patients with TB
  • Screen contacts and manage any associated outbreaks
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure effective treatment and care for patients with TB
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on TB treatment and management
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of TB screening and management policies and procedures

Person Specification
  • Professional Registration with NMC (Essential)
  • Degree or equivalent (Essential)
  • Teaching & Mentoring qualification (Essential)
  • Non-Medical Prescribing Course (Desirable)
  • Minimum of 3 years' relevant post-registration experience (Essential)
  • Evidence of on-going CPD (Essential)
  • Evidence of teaching in a variety of environments (Essential)
  • Experience in community and management of TB cases (Desirable)
