Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Charge Nurse to join our Haematology Clinic team. As a Senior Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for managing a team of nurses to provide high-quality, clinically effective patient care. You will work closely with the Lead Nurse to ensure key quality indicators are met and will be expected to demonstrate extensive knowledge and skills in haematology cancer care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of nurses to provide comprehensive and holistic patient care
  • Work closely with the Lead Nurse to ensure key quality indicators are met
  • Develop and implement effective care plans to meet the needs of patients receiving Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapies and Supportive Care
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Experience in an Haemato-oncology setting (desirable but not essential)
  • NMC registration
  • Ability to work at a highly specialised level

Please note that this role is subject to the new working hours policy, which will see a reduction in working hours from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024, with no change in pay.
