Domestic Assistant

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Domestic Assistant at QE Facilities. As a key member of our facilities team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of our premises, ensuring a high standard of patient and client well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out daily, weekly, and regular cleaning tasks to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and presentation.
- Organize and remove waste materials from designated areas, adhering to defined waste procedures.
- Perform sanitary cleaning in all wet areas, including toilets, basins, baths, and shower cubicles.
- Maintain and replenish cleaning materials in designated areas, including linen in selected locations.
- Respond to requests for remedial cleaning after incidents or accidents in a timely fashion.
- Report building defects to ensure remedial action is taken.
- Prepare patient areas for meal service, collect and wash cutlery and crockery, and serve patient beverages under the guidance of nursing staff.
- Perform linen changes in on-call rooms and residential accommodation, and curtain changes in clinical areas.

- Patient and client interactions that portray a professional, supportive, and caring service.
- Constructive team working and participation, including multi-disciplinary team relationships.
- Personal organization and time management with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative while being part of a team.
- Desirable:
- Knowledge of regulatory and legislative requirements for a healthy and safe environment, including infection prevention and control, safe working, lone working, COSHH, food safety, and manual handling.
- Cleaning procedures and protocols.
