Job Summary
Hays Senior Finance is seeking a qualified Senior Management Accountant to join their finance team in Stafford, England. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing financial leadership and support to the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and present management accounts packs to stakeholders.
- Perform month-end P&L and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Develop and maintain overhead forecasting and budgeting processes.
- Collaborate with the CFO to establish long-term objectives for the department.
- Identify business opportunities to support growth and reduce costs.
- Produce 13-week weekly short-term cash flow forecasts.
- Maintain the general ledger, including reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts.
- Manage cash book maintenance and bank reconciliations.
- Oversee the fixed asset register and VAT returns.
- Partner with non-financial stakeholders to drive business decisions.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need to be a CIMA or ACCA qualified accountant with proven experience in a management accounting role. You should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
