Job Title: Maintenance Electrician

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join their team at HMP Holme House. As the sole agency supplier to the HM Prison Service, this is an exciting opportunity to work within the prison service and can often lead to permanent opportunities.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for routine and non-routine maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs. They will also be involved in inspections, water sampling, and risk assessment. The role may include working at height and in all weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Routine and non-routine maintenance of electrical systems and equipment
  • Fault-finding and repair of electrical faults and life expired equipment
  • Inspections, water sampling, and risk assessment to ensure compliance with health and safety standards
  • Minimise wastage and continually improve processes
  • Ensure statutory works are carried out on time and that work is compliant
  • Support both local and business zero carbon programmes
Requirements:
  • Full driving licence
  • Appropriate Trade qualification (Level 3)
  • Experience in operating light plant
What You'll Need to Succeed:

The ideal candidate will be qualified to NVQ level 3 in Plumbing and have experience in operating light plant. They will also have a full driving licence and be able to work at height and in all weather conditions.
