Physician Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Physician Associate to join our Oncology Department at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our department.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and examine oncology patients, presenting them to medical staff and initiating investigations as required.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with medical staff and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide support to the Acute Oncology Service, ensuring timely assessment and management of oncology patients.
- Work closely with the band 8A Physician Associate and band 5 Inpatient Coordinator to ensure seamless patient care.
- Contribute to the development of the role of Physician Associate in the UK, sharing best practices and expertise with colleagues.
- Hold a degree prior to undertaking a Physician Assistant program.
- Be registered with the UK Managed Voluntary Registry for Physician Assistants and a member of UKAPA.
- Have current and valid certification or re-certification by the Physician Assistant National Examination.
- Have experience in organizing and prioritizing workload effectively, exercising sound judgment, and motivating and developing a multi-disciplinary team.
