Senior Care Assistant (Nightshift) - Boclair Care Home

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Boclair Care Home. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our residents receive the highest standard of care and support.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and coordinating the care team to ensure the smooth running of the home
  • Providing resident support with daily living tasks, such as dressing, bathing, and toileting
  • Overseeing medication management, including ordering, administration, and documentation
  • Effective communication with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Fostering a team ethos and promoting a supportive environment for all staff
  • Welcoming visitors and showing prospective residents and families around the home's facilities
  • Responding promptly to emergency call bells and providing or calling for assistance as needed
  • Writing and updating care plans, risk assessments, and case notes
  • Participating in staff meetings, training, and e-learning to maintain professional development
  • Awareness of and adherence to Health and Safety policies, including COSHH

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • SVQ/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent experience
  • Practical Medication Administration with competencies
  • Leadership skills, including the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team
  • A kind, caring, and compassionate personality with a sense of fun and a commitment to person-centred care
