We are in search of a skilled Lead Software Engineer specializing in Java and Scala to become a vital part of our team and engage in our innovative projects.

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in architecting, developing, and sustaining scalable and resilient applications. This position demands proficiency in Java, Scala, AWS, and the Spring framework, alongside a solid grounding in software engineering principles. You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to grasp business needs and provide high-quality solutions that fulfill or surpass expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect, develop, and sustain backend services and APIs utilizing Java and Scala.
  • Deploy scalable solutions on the AWS cloud platform, utilizing services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and DynamoDB.
  • Leverage the Spring Framework to construct and manage application components, including dependency injection, data access, and transaction management.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to comprehend requirements and convert them into technical specifications.
  • Ensure the quality, performance, security, and scalability of applications.
  • Guide junior team members and offer technical mentorship and support as necessary.
  • Remain updated with emerging technologies and best practices in software development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in software development.
  • Expertise in Java and Scala programming languages.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Spring Framework, including Spring Boot and Spring Security.
  • Experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Capability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with other JVM languages such as Kotlin or Groovy.
  • Understanding of functional programming concepts.
  • AWS or Spring certification is advantageous.
