Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Operations Lead to join our team at Mars (New). As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team of operations associates and driving business results through effective prioritization, escalation, and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Lead a team of operations associates to deliver priority KPIs through effective prioritization, escalation, and decision-making.
    • Provide line management for a team of operations associates, allocating work, managing crewing levels, and driving flexible working.
    • Develop and implement training programs to ensure associates have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Develop and lead factory-wide business communication, working with management and support functions to deliver effective messaging and feedback.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive Continuous Improvement and OPEX projects, driving improvements in efficiency and other line KPIs.
  • Performance Management and Development
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to associates to ensure they are meeting their performance goals.
    • Develop and implement performance development plans to ensure associates have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Excellent standards of numeracy and literacy, preferably to A-level standard (or equivalent).
    • Experience of line management in a manufacturing environment.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to all people at all levels.
    • Ability to lead and manage a team of operations associates.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make effective decisions.
