Traffic Management Operative x 4 (Trainee Positions Available)

Location: Staverton, Devon

Salary/hourly rate: £11.50 p/h - Flexible based on experience
Contract type: Full Time Permanent

Working hours: Varying hours including potential night shifts, compensated at a higher rate. Weekend work is optional, with numerous opportunities for overtime.

About the role

As a key member of our Traffic Management team, you will collaborate with fellow Operatives to ensure effective Traffic Management across various projects in the South West. We seek dependable and punctual individuals with a positive work ethic. Opportunities for further training and advancement in the traffic management sector will be provided for suitable candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Installation and removal of Temporary Traffic Management systems
  • Loading and maintaining equipment such as temporary traffic signals and road closures
  • Conducting site maintenance for traffic management setups
  • Communicating with clients and subcontractors
  • Reporting incidents and near misses
  • Performing daily vehicle inspections to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met for both the vehicle and its occupants.

Requirements

  • Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic work environment
  • Motivated with a proactive attitude and a willingness to learn
  • One year of experience in a similar Traffic Maintenance role is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided. *Training is contingent upon signing a training agreement
  • A full valid UK driving licence is advantageous
  • Completion of a Temporary Traffic Management Basic Course (TTMBC) is beneficial but not required, as we can offer this training to the right candidate.
