This is a leadership position within a thriving independent firm, offering a newly formed role to support the company's growth. The successful candidate will oversee a growing portfolio of listed work, limited companies, and other businesses, with client turnovers potentially exceeding £600 million.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of auditors and oversee an audit portfolio at an established and growing firm.
- Experience of audit turnovers to c. £500m.
- Some general accounting work.
- Work alongside Partners to provide strategic insight into the audit workflow, resourcing, and direction of travel.
- Review and prepare audit work.
- Advise on various audit-focused projects and problems.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure clients benefit from all business services.
- Provide training and development for colleagues and team members.
- Represent the company at networking and business events, identifying new business opportunities.
- Identify opportunities to introduce and cross-sell company services to new and existing clients.
- Set an example as a hands-on Director.

The Successful Candidate
- ACCA/ACA qualified.
- RI status or the possibility to easily obtain it.
- Technically proficient, with extensive UK external audit experience.

- Self-motivated and highly organized.
