Culinary Specialist

Work schedule: 5 days per week (including alternate weekends) from 10.30am to 2.00pm

MAIN OBJECTIVE AND SCOPE OF THE ROLE

To prepare and serve nutritious meals during lunchtime for residents and guests.

Involvement in food preparation for evening and weekend gatherings as needed.

Minimum requirement: Food hygiene certification, level 2.

Deliver outstanding customer service to all residents, adhering to company standards and maintaining a positive attitude.

POSITION WITHIN THE ORGANIZATION

Reports To: Court Manager, Duty Manager

Supervises: Housekeeping Assistant

(While on kitchen duty)

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To prepare and serve a wholesome two-course meal at lunchtime for residents and guests.

Maintain oversight of cost management and minimize food waste.

Accommodate any special dietary requirements.

Guide the Housekeeping Assistants assigned to support the Culinary Specialist in the kitchen.

Prepare food for evening social functions as required.

Possess a comprehensive understanding of Food Hygiene Regulations.

Keep accurate records of refrigerator temperatures, labeling of frozen items, and stock rotation practices.

Collaborate effectively with all staff members to achieve company goals.

  • Undertake additional responsibilities as reasonably expected.
