Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at First Military Recruitment. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing electrical design authority for existing and new electrical projects, answering design questions, and helping to resolve arising issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and develop electrical systems in support of complex design to order projects, creating system schematics, circuit diagrams, cable assemblies, wiring lists, and electrical bills of materials.
  2. Provide electrical and electronic subject matter expert advice to the rest of the engineering team, ensuring designs and products meet codes of practice and recognised standards applicable to the company and/or the customer.
  3. Work collaboratively with the engineering teams and production to document, build, and verify prototype parts, and train build operators as needed.
  4. Ensure the product can be made reliably and will perform consistently in the specified operating environments, defining critical dimensions for measurement and assessment by incoming inspection.
  5. Be responsive to engineering support requests, providing regular status updates regarding progress on issues, and recommend, help, rework, or train production operatives to successfully complete rework of non-conforming material using suitable equipment and tools.
Requirements:

Experience with the company's preferred design tools: Solidworks Electrical, Microsoft Visio, and standard 2D CAD packages. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance.
