Healthcare Central London Ltd (HCL) operates as a GP Federation representing our 33 General Practices in the Central London (Westminster) region. Our organization facilitates 4 Primary Care Networks (PCNs) and manages various NHS contracts on behalf of these networks, including services in Community Dermatology, Community Cardiology, and Secondary Care Referrals.
We proudly host a diverse and expanding team under the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS), which includes Clinical Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, First Contact Physiotherapists, Dieticians, Paramedics, Social Prescribers, Care Coordinators, Digital & Transformation Leads, Nursing Associates, GPAs, and Care Coordinators.

ROLE SUMMARY
In response to the growth of our services, we are in search of a dedicated and skilled Salaried General Practitioner (GP) to become part of our vibrant healthcare team. The Salaried GP will be instrumental in providing high-quality primary care services to our patients while collaborating with fellow healthcare professionals to enhance patient health outcomes.
This position may offer a hybrid work model, incorporating both in-person consultations and remote working opportunities.
The GP will be an integral member of the in-house clinical team, responsible for delivering appointments and ensuring access to our registered patient list. You will manage your administrative tasks, such as reviewing blood results, and collaborate with remote-working GPs and lead GPs to manage shared administrative duties effectively.
Key Responsibilities
As a member of our clinical team, you will be dedicated to ensuring clinical continuity for patients during critical situations. You will engage in learning events, audits, and other collaborative projects as agreed upon. Your proactive approach to understanding and enhancing practice systems, along with your willingness to learn new IT systems, will be highly valued.
Clinical Duties
To become a full member of our team, you will be expected to:
- Demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality, safe care that supports clinical continuity for patients.
- Participate in learning events, audits, and specific projects as agreed.
- Adhere to established ways of working within the clinical team.
- Strive to understand your role within practice systems and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Commit to learning new IT systems and innovations that enhance patient care.
- Discuss cases with colleagues as appropriate, with a focus on learning from experiences.
- Stay informed about new guidance and best practices.
- Manage your time effectively.
Session Structure:
Sessions will consist of either 3 hours of clinical appointments (in-person or via telephone), digital triage alongside a digital hub administrator, or remote clinical administrative duties. Appointment slots will be a minimum of 15 minutes, with double appointments available for patients requiring interpreters or for complex cases.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Maintain awareness of and comply with all relevant practice policies and guidelines.
- Commit to lifelong learning and audit participation.
- Attend training sessions and events organized by the practice or other agencies.
Candidate Profile
Experience
- Essential: Experience in UK General Practice.
- Desirable: Clinical experience of 2+ years.
Knowledge of:
- Essential: Understanding of the NHS system and the challenges it faces.
- Desirable: Familiarity with QOF & Enhanced Services.
Qualifications
- Essential: GMC Registered, Qualified General Practitioner (MRCGP or equivalent).
- Desirable: Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
Skills and Competencies
- Essential: Proficiency in IT, including troubleshooting and remote consulting skills.
- Desirable: Leadership abilities.
