Job Role:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nursery Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the nursery, working closely with children to foster their development and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging activities that promote learning and development.
  • Support the day-to-day care of children, ensuring their physical, emotional, and educational needs are met.
  • Maintain a safe and hygienic environment for children, adhering to all health and safety guidelines.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
  • Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to senior staff and parents.
  • Contribute to team meetings and training sessions.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with young children, preferably in a nursery or early years setting.
  • A caring, patient, and positive attitude.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of child development and early years education.
  • Relevant childcare qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare) are desirable but not essential.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
